Check Your Chart, for the Week of 17 October, 2022

Let’s say someone goes purposefully out of their way to do something nasty to someone or something you deeply care about. Deep, brooding resentment sets in, for starters. You’re caught up in a mess of feelings that seem impossible to let go of.

The last time the Moon was in Libra, almost a month ago, it formed a Grand Trine with Mars in Gemini trine and Saturn in Aquarius. A trine is 1/3rd part of the Circle of the Zodiac, supposed to be a good sign, a supportive and beneficial aspect. A Grand Trine can be too much of a good thing, where all the energies run around the circle but can’t get out. What’s in stays in, what’s outside this runaround ring stays in (unless and until there is a ‘leak’, a releaser). This week, the Moon in Libra forms a mess of Grand Trines.

Mars and Saturn are still lazing around their trine, 24 degrees of Gemini to 18 in Aquarius, too loose to say they are technically connected, but what’s happening in Libra? Last week, it was the Sun trine Saturn; Monday, it’s Mars. If not literal, a mindset of “Enduring (Sat) War (Mars)” persists for way too many (name a country). Vlad the Mad is flinging all he has to vent his tantrums. Big Baby is running out of ‘flingers’, but his Denialist minions hope to crush the Commies at the midterms.

Venus put the ‘chill’ on many Personal (desperate?) hopes last Thursday. It trines Mars on Tuesday, to hopefully rekindle them. Venus, though in Libra, is at the more isolated, Scorpio end of this Sign; yeah, she can feel desperate there.

Then, Friday, it’s Mercury’s turn, trine Saturn standing still. Like a concussion, not much that’s helpful can come out for a while. Mercury is trine Mars next week, right after a symbolically powerful New Moon in early Scorpio (that’s the Sign after Libra, ya know).

With all at about the same time, this is like 3 Grand Trines stacked together. Mars – Saturn is always a threat. It wants to stop (Sat) vital energies (Mars). It is a symbolic death at the least. The Sun, Venus, and Mercury, wreak havoc on many levels of energy and intellect. Thoughts, statements, and Personal Lives get pushed (Mars) to the limits (Sat). Who hasn’t felt the Strains and Pains lately?

The week is going to be a nasty, bickering grinder. That’s the Bad News.

From the Deep, Dark Depths of Scorpio comes a New Moon on the 25th, aligned with Venus. From the core of many comes an inner eruption of, “there has to be a better way”. Venus is the only Planet that rotates backward. Her plus to others minus, and vice versa, makes her the Harmonizer. Before her alignment with the Sun, on Saturday, she gets burned in the Solar glare.  We lost two ‘beloved’ last week, Hagrid and the Teapot.

But, once passed, Venus gets energized, converting the Sun if you will. Moods shift toward much more agreeability. Hang on to your hat, and your Personal commitments and convictions, until at least past the New Moon, cuz a better ‘flavour’ is coming fairly soon.

And, that leak that lets Grand Trines deflate? That was last Tuesday, the 11th when Mars squared Neptune. Think Scandals and Weaknesses (Putin is running out of troops and ammo; Big Baby is running out of judges). And, Mars stands still, too, after the New Moon, and its trine to Mercury. “Some people”, we’re not saying who just yet, will run out of nasty things to say or do. That’s the Good News.

This week: Monday, get something started if you can, but with too much of a frenzy, what? Tuesday, settle for what personally applies. Wednesday, OK, so now you’re on your own? Thursday, back to personal basics, and include someone close. Friday, hmm, back to a kind of isolation. Saturday, this is the crux of it all; can we relate? It will get better now. Can we talk yet? This needs plenty of pondering first. Where is the Give with the Take?

Nota Bene: And, what’s with the Sun? Total let-go, like the start of the week, with draggy protons close to zipping. Then, through the weekend, with snap-crackle winds and a generous dose of proton drag.

All Planetary Aspect energies build up several hours before (for the swift) to a few days before (for the slow), as they approach. The Moon triggers within 2 hours.

Like Astrology, CYC is complicated, and cannot be explained in a page or two. Exceptions, depending on the context, can apply. Contact me for Your Natal Horoscope and a reading.

Friday – Saturday, 7-8 October. (Moon biting off more than it can chew in Pisces. The Sun in Libra has soft aspects Venus / Saturn (and hard aspects Jupiter / stationary Pluto). 14 Cardinal, 29 Fixed)

The Jup/Plu says you’re mostly on your own, feeling isolated. Venus / Saturn means to take care of Personal Business and Duties. Did you call Granny and wish her well? Did you take out the trash? Did you brush your teeth? Stick to the basics.

(Pluto stationary, turning direct in Capricorn. 26 Cardinal, 11 Mutable)

If this hits one of Your Four Personal Points, here is your moment of “invincibility”.

Monday, 17 October. (apogee Moon loose and wandering in Cancer. The Sun in late Libra trine Mars in Gemini, aspecting Jupiter / Uranus, Jupiter / Saturn. 24 degrees and 9 degrees of All Signs)

Saturn and Uranus are still not connected, so not so much Stress, but plenty of things to choose from. The issue is, What comes first? And, where’s the oomph to even get started?

Tuesday, 18 October. (slow Moon sluggish and selfish in Leo. Venus in Libra trine Mars in Gemini. 24 degrees and 9 degrees of All Signs)

Any ‘glitter’ that attracts comes with caveats. There is the excitement. And, there are the duties required. They are not connected. Maybe, just get your workout in and worry about recovery later. Simplification helps.

Wednesday, 19 October. (Moon rustled but stuck in Leo. The Sun and Venus in Libra square Pluto in Capricorn. 26 Cardinal, 11 Fixed)

Pluto? Well, it does tend to intensify and isolate, so you can focus. You’re left with #1. Make a strong Personal statement, today, but how without problems or nasty complications the next 2?

Saturday, 22 October. (Moon really growly in Virgo. Venus aligns with the Sun in the last of Libra. 29 Cardinal, 14 Mutable)

Intense, powerful transition, from petty Personal mega-quibbles to, “Can we get along now?” Let some wounds heal first. Then, there will have to be conditions that need discussing first, without just the cussing.

(Mercury in Libra trine stationary Saturn in Aqurius. 18 degrees and 3 degrees of All Signs)

There may be plenty of desire to talk, communicate, and relate but, “After that!?” Obviously, it will take a bit. “I’m not healed and you’re not wounded enough, yet.” Yeah, that kind of time, but it is coming when both sides can acknowledge they are more even-up.

Is your Number up?  Check Your Four Personal Points for every day (see below).  If the numbers match, this day is meant for you!

Each forecast shows the Moon Sign, the Planetary Aspect, and Number of degrees in Signs for the Planetary Aspect.

The Moon Sign is the Sign the Moon is in for that day.  The Moon Sign gives an advantage to the Sign it is in, puts extra pressure on the opposite Sign, and tends to cross up or neutralize the Signs at right angles.  For example, with Fixed Signs, if the Moon is in Taurus, Taurus has the advantage, Scorpio gets challenged, and Leo and Aquarius get shifted or crossed up.

The Planetary Aspect is where the action is released.  It’s the Excuse.  Unlike daily Horoscopes that suggest each day has the same level of influence, this is the core of changes in the daily energies.

The Sign Numbers are the degrees in the Signs of the Zodiac being emphasized.  If the degree for any day is close to any degree of Your Four Personal Points (see below), within a degree or so, THIS IS YOUR DAY.  Pay extra ATTENTION.

You may have several days in the week activated, or you may have none.  As a degree hits one of Your Four Personal Points, the forecast tells about the important things in your life.  The daily forecasts tell you when.  The overall story comes through over time.  Sooner or later, the degrees of the Forecast catch up to all Your Points.

Your Four Personal Points are, in order of importance:

The Ascendant, the Midheaven, the Moon, and the Sun.  These are the most important points of your Horoscope, calculated from your birth date, your birth place, and the time of day you drew your first breath.

The first two Personal Points, the Ascendant and Mid-heaven, are the points that fix the Earth in space for your birth time at your specific birthplace.  We live on the Earth, not the Sun or the Moon.

The Ascendant also called Your Rising Sign, is more critical than your Sun Sign.

Simply, and generally, only, forecasts that affect your:

Ascendant relate to matters in your environment.            Use it to see what’s in front of you.

Mid-heaven relate to matters in your personal life.            Use it to see what’s in your mind.

Moon relate to matters in your emotional life.          Use it to see what’s in your heart.

Sun relate to matters in your physical life.             Use it to see what’s in your core.

The Signs of the Zodiac are:

Cardinal Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn)

Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius)

Mutable Signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces)
